What it does

Companies is the account layer: every organisation you sell to, with industry, size, status and website, plus a detail page that pulls together the account's contacts, deals, activity, notes and files.

Key concepts

  • Enrichment — the same pipeline as contacts: domain scraping plus Prospeo fills in employee count, founding date, social handles and the logo.
  • Related records — the detail page tabs show the account's contacts and deals in place; the sidebar tracks contact count and lifetime value.
  • Duplicate safety — CSV imports detect duplicates by domain.

Everyday moves

  1. New Company — name is required; add website, industry, size (Small → Enterprise), status and revenue as you have them.
  2. Open an account and work from its tabs — log activity, view the deal pipeline filtered to this account, or jump to a related contact.
  3. Use Enrich in the sidebar when you only have a domain and want the rest filled in.

Settings & permissions

Write actions need module:crm:rw. Deletion is soft with restore. Company custom fields are managed in Custom Fields.
